For this assignment, I wanted the overall subject of my project to have a dystopian, apocalyptic, robotic feel. I loved playing with MidJourney and creating these cyber-punk girls with bright pink hair. I think it’s only fitting to have a hardcore girl as the main character of a cyborg society in the future. I liked using all of the generators to come up with ideas but once I found the generated words I liked, I plugged them into MidJourney and then stuck with it. I used variations of the words to get different results like colors and synonyms for the apocalypse, as well as the phrases extremely detailed, uplight, cinematic, high resolution, 4k, very photo-realistic, ultra-realistic, beautiful design, and octane, render to get a very detailed crisp image of my subject. Once I had a series of images I liked I started glitching them. I definitely gravitated towards the audition style of glitching because I liked how it created more geometric line glitches that were more random than the text edit style but not as random as the pixel sorting. I wanted to be able to have some control over where I put my glitches so that you could still see the images underneath. I liked how it created different color line glitches but it also inverted some of the colors and reflected some of my images. I really like how my project turned out, I’m very proud of it. I don’t think I would’ve done anything differently to be honest because of how much I enjoy looking at my images.
