Project 1 Brainstorm Blog

For this project, I really wanted to continue developing my skills in Blender. I want to focus on trying new building teqniques and textures. I found some images of small mini rooms on Pinterest when I was trying to find an idea of what I wanted to do for this independent study and I immediately really liked them. They just look so cute and inviting that it makes me want to live in them. I want to make one of my own. I also like how you can tell the objects and furniture are made up of simple shapes at first and then tweaked to look soft. It reminds me a lot of the video game animal crossing and the style of the objects you can use to decorate your house or island. I'm curious how lighting is achieved in the pictures, it looks like the sun is coming through a window in one of them and I definitely think I will need to watch a tutorial on that. There's also a lamp and fairy lights in one of the images too and I have no idea how to approach that. In that same image, there are also pictures hanging on the wall that look like they are possibly downloaded from the internet like the graphic art ones, and I'm unsure how to do that too. I think I will try and find a good tutorial to get started with and start there to get a good base going and then find other videos on how to make the objects being used as clutter.
